Naming Traditions in Vietnam

Hello friends welcome to my blog and I hope you are healthy...
Okay here I will discuss the tradition of names in Vietnam. Do you know Vietnam? yaps a country with a population of around 84 million, Vietnam is the 13th most populous country in the world. The fastest growing country in East Asia.
This time I will discuss the tradition of names in Vietnam. Maybe we certainly ask what the name means? yes, for in Vietnam the meaning and name are very important and then trusted to change one's destiny.
Short names or nicknames in Vietnam usually consist of three words, two, four or five separate titles.
Vietnamese names enter the first family name followed by a middle name and given. Take Pham Van Duc, for example, Pham is a surname or what we call last name. Van is an individual middle name, and Duc is the name given or first.
A person's middle name in Vietnam sometimes shows which generation he came from. Every family can use a different middle name for each generation. Brothers and sisters, for example have the same middle name.

- The most popular middle names in Vietnam are "Van" for men and "Thi" for women. If you see one of these options in name, you can find out the sex of a person. For example, Nguyen Van Minh is usually a man, while Le Thi Ha is usually a woman.
Vietnamese middle names sometimes indicate which generation he came from. A family can use a different middle name for each generation. For example, the Dang clan has two generations with different middle names: Dang Dinh and Dang Nghia.

-The most common family name in Vietnam
Nguyen is the most common Vietnamese surname. With some estimates, around 38 percent of Vietnamese have this surname. Nguyen's prevalence as a last name in Vietnam extends abroad, where many Vietnamese emigrate. Nguyen was ranked the fourth most common family name in the world according to a list compiled by The World Geography in 2012; more than 36 million people have this surname.
Nguyen is the seventh most common family name in Australia, and the 54th most common in France. In the United States, it is the 57th most common family name according to the 2000 Census, as well as the most common Asian surname, according to The World Geography.
There aren't many surnames in Vietnam like in China. The 14 most popular surnames in Vietnam account for more than 90 percent of the population: they are Nguyen, Tran, Le, Pham, Hoang / Huynh, Phan, Vu / Vo, Dang, Bui, Do, Ho, Ngo, Duong and Ly.
