Reading is one of the basic communication skills, but has a very complex process. It can be said that reading is a process in which the reader finds the information provided by the author in written form. In English, there are four skills that must be mastered, namely: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Reading skills are very important in the field of education, students need to be trained and trained to have good reading skills.

Speed ​​reading is a collection of methods to increase reading speed without reducing unacceptable understanding (Wikipedia). Fast reading is also how students can read with a better understanding of being faster and remembering it well at the same time. The purpose of this study generally aims to improve students' reading skills through speed reading.
